first_img21Dec Rep. Kahle: Michigan budget plan helps children have ‘best possible chance at success’ Rep. Bronna Kahle today supported a plan committing more resources aimed at keeping Michigan’s children safe and healthy.The budget plan invests more than $30 million for mental health support services in schools and $25 million in school safety grants, along with measures to ensure support for at-risk students.The state also will invest another $20 million to hire 175 additional child protective services workers.“All of our kids deserve to grow up in a safe, secure environment so they have the best possible chance at success – both in school and at home,” said Kahle, of Adrian. “This budget plan is a significant step in the right direction for Lenawee County and all of Michigan.”The plan also provides more resources to fight PFAS and other environmental contamination, invests more in road repairs and several other programs.The legislation will soon be headed to the governor for final consideration.### Categories: Kahle News,Newscenter_img The legislation: Senate Bills 601 and 149.last_img
